School Pride is a new reality show that NBC began airing last fall. The show’s producers had fine intentions for making it, but it failed to catch the attention of many viewers and it has now been terminated.
The series centers on communities that combine their efforts to fix up their aging and out of order public schools. The show revolves around students, teachers and parents as they join hands together to bring positive development in their native lands. School Pride’s hosts are Kym Whitley, Tom Stroup, Jacob Soboroff and Susie Castillo.
The show’s debut garnered a mere 0.9 rating judging by the 18-49 demo and the total viewers numbered 2.90 million. This left it at third position in the timeslot, same spot as No Ordinary Family rerun on ABC.
Ratings further deteriorated with subsequent episodes reaching as low as 0.6 demo rating and total viewers numbering only 2.21 million. The average rating when the season concluded stood at a demo of 0.7 with 2.5 million viewers. It is no wonder then that with such numbers; it ranked among the lowest rated shows on NBC for season 2010-11.
School Pride was generally thought to be over last fall, but it was only now that NBC made it official. The show has been terminated and all the seven produced episodes have been aired.
